I mean, like, you’re here filming me so… I mean, people like to say what I did was heroic but it wasn’t. You know, it was just a thing I had to do. I think people like to have a hero and it…it makes them feel better to think that they’re in the middle of all that horror, you know - that there’s someone special working medical miracles. But… I mean, I- I mean, I don’t…I don’t have super surgical powers, you know, I mean, I- I did what—

Meredith: [Interrupts, taking Cristina’s hand] Cristina is a hero. Especially to me. The truth is, is most surgeons could not have done what she did that day. If you had seen… [looks over at Cristina, pauses] If you had seen—

Cristina: Stop. Please just…can you…can we just stop this?

Meredith: Can we cut?

Callie: Well, it’s her decision obviously. It’s an incredible opportunity. I mean, you don’t just turn down a Carter Madison Grant. Nobody turns down a Carter Madison Grant. I…I know that. I understand that, I do. I mean, if the situation were reversed, uh… [sighs] Actually, no, you know what, no. If the situation were reversed, I would turn the thing down. I wouldn’t even consider moving to another continent right now.

Arizona: I applied for this thing 2 years ago. I was a completely different person. You know, I was: new here, a surgical fellow, single. But now I have people here - important people. Which complicates things, but this is bigger than me. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. So, yeah, of course I’m accepting the grant. That just means I’m moving to Africa.

Cristina: We got this, uh, new state-of-the-art, like, lockdown system.

Meredith: To, um, isolate different areas of the hospital in case of an emergency.

Cristina: Yeah, ‘cause, uh, supposedly at the last emergency there were… some people wandering around.
